Tour Itinerary
Your driver meets you at Mohammed V Airport and takes you to your hotel in Casablanca, about 45 minutes away. After some rest, visit the Hassan II Mosque, set on the edge of the Atlantic and one of the few mosques in Morocco open to non-Muslim visitors on guided tours. Walk along the Corniche in the late afternoon and finish with dinner in town if you like.
After breakfast, follow the motorway south to Marrakech, around three hours with a coffee stop on the way. Check in to your riad in the medina and spend the afternoon at your own pace. In the evening, Jemaa el-Fna square comes alive with food stalls, musicians and storytellers, a short walk from most riads.
Spend the morning with a licensed local guide in the old city: the Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia Palace, Ben Youssef Madrasa and the souks of the leather workers, dyers and spice sellers. The afternoon is yours. Many travellers choose the Jardin Majorelle, a hammam or a cooking class, which we can book for you.
Drive into the High Atlas through Asni to Imlil, a mountain village at the foot of Mount Toubkal, about 90 minutes from Marrakech. Walk with a local guide to the village of Aroumd for views across the valley and mint tea with a Berber family. In the afternoon, continue to the Agafay Desert, a landscape of stony hills about an hour away. Watch the sunset from your camp, then enjoy dinner under the stars.
Wake up for sunrise over the hills, then have breakfast at the camp. Drive west to the Atlantic coast through argan country, about two and a half to three hours, with a stop at a women’s argan oil cooperative to see how the oil is made. Essaouira is a relaxed walled port town. Walk the sea ramparts of the Skala, wander the medina’s woodworkers’ and silversmiths’ workshops and watch the blue fishing boats come into the harbour.
A day at the pace of the sea. Visit the fish market at the port, walk along the wide beach, take a cooking class or simply sit in a café on Place Moulay Hassan. Riders can book a horse or camel ride on the beach towards Diabat, and the wind makes this one of Morocco’s best spots for kitesurfing.
After breakfast, your driver takes you to Marrakech Airport, about two and a half to three hours away, or to Mohammed V Airport in Casablanca, about four hours by motorway. We time the departure around your flight.

Tipping isn’t required, but it is customary and always appreciated. Many travelers tip their driver and guides at the end of the trip and leave small tips in restaurants and hotels. Give what feels right for the service you received.

Day 2, Casablanca to Marrakech, is about three hours. Days 4 and 5 have around three hours each. If you fly home from Casablanca, the last day is about four hours; from Marrakech it is about two and a half to three hours.
The Marrakech medina visit is on foot for two to three hours. The Imlil walk takes around one and a half to two hours on village paths with some uphill sections; we can shorten it or arrange a mule.
No. Agafay is a stony desert of rolling hills with views of the Atlas, about 45 minutes from Marrakech. It has no tall sand dunes. For the Erg Chebbi dunes, choose a tour that goes to Merzouga.
Tell us if a private bathroom in your tent is essential, and we will confirm a camp and tent that has one. Your proposal names the camp and tent type before you book.
Often, especially in summer, when the trade winds keep the town cooler than Marrakech. Bring a light jacket for the evenings.
Breakfast every morning from day 2, plus dinner at the Agafay camp on day 4. Other meals are not included, so you can try local restaurants and the fish grills in Essaouira.
