Your camp stay
A camp night means sleeping in a tent at the desert camp. A Merzouga hotel night is a separate stay at a hotel or riad near the dunes. Your proposal confirms the camp, tent category, bathroom facilities and whether air conditioning is included. Tell us if a private bathroom or air conditioning is essential so we can confirm a suitable option before booking.
Marrakech Desert Tour FAQs
Are these Marrakech desert tours private?
Yes. You travel with your own party, vehicle and dedicated driver. We do not combine separate bookings. Your stops, accommodation and route can be tailored before booking.
Should I choose Zagora or Merzouga?
The two-day tour visits Zagora and involves long drives. Choose at least three days to reach Merzouga and the Erg Chebbi dunes. If you have more time, compare the four- and five-day routes for extra desert time and different return arrangements.
Does a longer package always mean shorter driving days?
No. The five-day route includes an overnight stop in Ouarzazate on the return journey. The six- and seven-day packages include arrival and departure days and Marrakech hotel stays around a four-day desert circuit, so they still have a long return drive from Merzouga. The seven-day package also includes a guided Marrakech visit.
Can my desert tour finish in Fes?
Yes. The three-day Marrakech-to-Fes tour finishes in Fes. A Fes finish is also available on the four-day tour by prior arrangement. Ask us about adapting other routes; we confirm any changes and the final price in your written itinerary.
Does the desert camp have a private bathroom?
Bathroom facilities depend on the selected camp and tent category. Tell us that you would like a private ensuite shower and toilet, and we will confirm a suitable camp and tent in your proposal. Air conditioning is also confirmed for the specific tent you book.
Can I skip the camel ride?
Yes, a 4×4 camp transfer can be arranged for the Merzouga itineraries. Let us know before booking so we can confirm the arrangements and any price difference. Ask us about the transfer options for the Zagora route.
What happens to my luggage during the camel ride?
You do not need to carry your main suitcase on the camel ride. Your driver will explain the vehicle and camp-transfer arrangements for your chosen camp. Keep valuables, medication and overnight essentials in a small bag, and tell us about large suitcases or special equipment when requesting your quote.
Are two desert nights both spent in a camp?
On the listed four-, five-, six- and seven-day Merzouga itineraries, the two nights around the desert are one camp night and one hotel night. The overnight route on each tour card shows all included stops. Ask us if you prefer a different arrangement.
What is included in the price?
Inclusions vary by itinerary and accommodation package. Each tour page lists the transport, overnight stays, meals and activities included. Your written proposal confirms the final services and price for your travel dates, group size and room arrangements.
