Eight days gives you room for a well-chosen introduction to Morocco. A cities-and-Sahara route is possible, but it includes long travel days. If you prefer fewer hotel changes, choose a northern circuit or a Marrakech-and-coast journey instead.

An eight-day cities-and-desert journey is active. Choose a focused region if you would rather spend more time in your accommodation and less time on the road.
Eight days is enough for a loop from Casablanca through Fes and the Sahara to Marrakech, but there is little slack. Decide where you want a second night: Fes for the medina, Marrakech for gardens and shopping, or Merzouga for a calmer desert stay. Choosing one makes the whole week feel less rushed.

Is 8 days enough for Morocco?
It is enough for a good first taste: either the imperial cities and the Sahara on an active route, or a slower trip around Marrakech, the Atlas and the coast. Adding the north and the coast as well is where eight days starts to feel short.
How long are the driving days on an 8-day Sahara route?
The longest legs are Fes to Merzouga and Merzouga to the Todra and Dades area. Each takes most of a day, with stops for photos, lunch and short walks along the way.
Should we start in Casablanca or Marrakech?
It depends on your flights. Casablanca has the most international connections, while Marrakech is often cheaper to fly into and saves a day of driving at the start. Flying into one city and out of another usually works best.
Can we include Essaouira in 8 days?
Yes, on a Marrakech-based route with one or two nights by the sea. Adding Essaouira to a Sahara route as well would make the week too rushed.
Can we change the route or departure city?
Yes. These are suggested routes, not shared departures. Your private journey can start at any suitable Moroccan airport or port. We can change the direction, overnight stops and finishing city to suit your plans.
